Circumcision

In 2012, after a comprehensive review of all the current scientific evidence, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) found that the health benefits of newborn male circumcision outweigh the risks, but the benefits were still not considered great enough to recommend that every single male newborn should be routinely or automatically circumcised. The AAP recommended that the final decision should be left to parents to make in the context of their religious, ethical and cultural beliefs, which is exactly the way Dr. Matney has practiced newborn male circumcision for over 20 years. Vaccinations | Dr. Matney Apple Valley, Hesperia, Victorville Pediatrics

Vaccinations

Almost nothing else in medicine receives as much constant and careful scientific scrutiny and governmental inspections for safety as do all vaccinations for children, and they are safer now than they have ever been, and they prevent even more diseases that can actually kill children than ever before. So now, as never before, it is crucially important to make sure your baby is up-to-date on shots. More Info...

School Physicals

School age children commonly need school physicals to enroll in preschool, daycare, kindergarten, and grade school. Later come physicals for middle school, high school, college, vocational schools, pre-employment physicals, or sometimes a clearance for a health concern before joining the military. Also, kids usually need physicals for sports participation whether inside school, or outside of school, such as Little League and Pop Warner Football, soccer leagues, cheerleading teams, health clubs, and martial arts.
